Pip Family Papers

Contains series: documents and publications; photographs.

The material includes personal documents, photographs, a few Ukrainian DP camp periodicals, scripts for plays, and poems associated with Nadija Jaremenko (1923, Cherkasy province-Manitoba, 1992), a poet, and Ivan Pip (1915, Lviv region-Manitoba, 1989), an artist, who took part in transforming the DP Camp Korigen into a centre of social, artistic, and educational activity, before they immigrated to Canada.

Tsukornyk (George J.) Papers

Rev. Tsukornyk was a Ukrainian Orthodox priest and teacher, and composer and arranger of Ukrainian music, as well as a director of choirs throughout Canada.

The papers include his selected correspondence; a daily journal he kept while pastor for St. Mary's Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church in Oshawa; speeches and concert programs given at several Ukrainian Orthodox parishes for different occasions; various musical arrangements; examination questions for students of Ukrainian Sunday schools; and a few photographs.

Nouwen (Henri) fonds

Henri Jozef Machiel Nouwen (1932-1996) was a Dutch Catholic priest, professor, writer and theologian. After nearly two decades of teaching at academic institutions in the United States, Nouwen went on to work with mentally and physically handicapped people at the L'Arche Daybreak community in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Daily journal maintained by the secretary of the Ukrainian Student Society of War Veterans in Emigration. The Society was formed in a refugee camp for Ukrainian war veterans in Riccione (near Rimini), Italy on 7 August 1945. Journal entries were recorded between 7 Aug. and 30 Dec. 1945 and record excursions to Rimini, visitors to the camp, and events held there.
